I'm trying to learn how to use a sword, but I'm no genius; it'll take a while to become good enough that I could hold my own in a fight. No matter how good of a teacher Kashuu is he can't make me perfect so quickly.

She had thought, if she were to fight, she'd be fighting monsters, inhuman things where it wouldn't matter if she killed them; that it'd be no worse or better than killing a bug. The idea of fighting other actual humans hadn't crossed her mind until that moment.
Was she capable of that? She knew, deep down, she could never wield a sword correctly if it wasn't with an intent of Kill or Be Killed. A moment of hesitation could surely bring her own death.
Yuri stares down at her hands again and slowly drops them to her side, thinking on her answer.] ...I suppose if you don't think of them as people, it's easier. Like swatting flies. [That's not healthy, Yuri. Yuri no.]
I guess I'll have to see when the time actually comes what I'm really capable of.
[ He's perfectly fine with the time it takes for Yuri to think on her answer. He hadn't actually expected it to be quick. But he hadn't expected it to be all that simple, either. To everyone's obvious surprise, Souji bursts out laughing. Once his laughter recedes, he turns his customary 'smile but not actually a smile' upon her. ]

I think it's more apt to say I don't care. [ truly, this is the rarest of rare moments. Usually, Souji would be like "??? why are you glad??" but he's already more or less accepted that Yuri's weird, so he takes her dere like how a normally functioning person would take it, with amusement. ]

So I'm an exception? [But her tone is dry and she makes another huffing noise of amusement. It's easier, this back and forth, morbid though it may be. Easier than focusing on the things she didn't want to remember, like Fuyuhi's face when she killed herself, or Hisoka's warmth that isn't here anymore.]
