I think I'd like to. Thank you. I never really thought of putting anything I make on display before.

Is there anything in particular you want it to be of? I don't want to go against a theme.

A few of the pieces I've chosen to exhibit are portraits of the various Moonblessed I've encountered, using distinctive stylistic elements or mythological themes unique to our own world.

So long as you're similarly showing some aspect of the Moonblessed or our world, it would be in keeping with the theme. Do you have any photos from home you might like to incorporate? Or memorable photos of Lunatia you've taken while you adapt to life here, perhaps?

I haven't taken many pictures here, to be honest. But I have some that are still saved in the camera from home. Most of them are rather spooky, though.

I suppose I'm just worried about creeping people out. I think most people find me strange or creepy and I'm not sure how to feel about it or if I want to give them more fuel to think that. But if you think it'll be okay, I'll trust you.

Should I show them to you first to make sure they're okay? Or will you leave it entirely to me?

Art is about expressing your deepest passions, and sharing your creative vision with the world. If artists allowed themselves to be overwhelmed by the opinions of the majority, no work of any merit would be created at all.

Likewise, the subjects you've chosen to capture through your camera lens are unique to your own perspective. No one can share that perspective with the world except you, so please don't be discouraged. You have my full support.

I'd like to see your photos, if you would not mind. Ultimately, it will be the gallery curator who will approve what will be exhibited, but I could help you decide what to submit for consideration.

These have not been altered in any way?

No. The camera I use is rather antique, though, from the early 1800s I think. The photos sometimes turn out a little grainy because of it.

No, they're beautiful. I simply didn't realise this was quite what you meant when you said "post-mortem photography" -- I've never seen anything like it.

I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to trick you. Most people don’t believe in these sorts of things, even with evidence. The type of post-mortem photography I talked about is a little less strange than saying “I can see and take pictures of spirits.”

I know each of those spirits. I don’t think they’d mind too much if their pictures were on display. [Okay Shiragiku in the doll shrine would probably have quite a few snarky things to say, but she always did, so that didn’t count.]

I don't mind.

If I have a picture of something or someone, or something connected with them, I can find anything. For example, if I have someone's note they've written, I can track them down. Same with their picture of them, or something they wore a lot. I can read the secrets of items like that.

I can see or speak to spirits. If I touch a spirit, I experience their deaths as if it was happening to me. Everything they thought or saw or felt. I take the pain of their death from them. It exorcises their spirit and usually allows them to move on.

Unfortunately it can extend to the living as well. I can't always control it, but sometimes if I touch people I experience their worst memories too. And I can generally read peoples
emotions.

It makes moonlacing difficult. Most people don't want to take that risk. But I have a bracelet now, from that mission before, that stops that ability from happening.

[She's pretty sure she's covered everything...]

I see... I think I understand now. You surely must have carried a heavy burden, to possess such an ability, and take on the experiences of so many others... I can't imagine what that must be like.

I'm glad you have a bracelet to help you. But if moonlacing is still a difficulty, by all means, please come to me. I will help you whenever you are in need.

The moonlacing here is difficult for me to begin with. I'm not used to touching people, so I just keep expecting to be hurt every time I try. It's just a slow process trying to get used to it. But every time I touch someone and it doesn't hurt me, it gets a little easier.

I'm not forcing myself. I would genuinely like to help. But, if it is a gradual process for you, I agree it is best that you do it at your own pace.

In any case, I can submit these photos on your behalf. Assuming the gallery is happy to accept them, I will give you all the information once the exhibition is given the go-ahead. Is that all right?

If you don't see it as forcing yourself, than I don't mind the help. I like you. [It's easier to say that sort of thing on text when you don't have to look the person in the face.]
