Do you have any plans for this character in the game? Yuri's canon is SO gloomy and revolves so much around death, I genuinely just need her to take a break. She promised one person she'd keeping "for a little while longer" because the woman asked her to, she needs to find other things to live for.

Did your character willingly come to Iyashikei? If yes, why? Yes. Yuri is canonly incapable of not helping someone in need and even worse at saying 'no.' Though truthfully Yuri probably didn't realize accepting meant she was leaving right that second, as she had other things she was in the middle of working on.
Will they need any special accommodations upon arrival? Nope!

Questions:

1. Tell us about who your character is and what someone’s first impression would be upon meeting them. How would your character act once someone got to know them?

Yuri is described as someone who always looks on the verge of crying, and an expression in her eyes of someone 'called far away.' Yuri never seems to know if she wants to live or die and that tight-rope balancing act shows on her face. Some people have "resting bitch face"--Yuri has "resting crying face," apparently. She's distant and polite bordering on aloof, but once someone gets to know her it's proven to be just anxiety and an uncertainty of how to interact with people.

2. What is something unique and interesting about them, or what is a fun little tidbit that sets them apart from the crowd?
Aside from her special abilities, Yuri is really good at making coffee! She lives and works at a coffee/antiques shop combo and while she's generally not allowed to touch the antiques after breaking too many, she's gotten really good at making a cup of coffee for people. Another fun fact: She's incapable of crying!

3. What does your character think their flaws are? What do they think their strengths are? What are their actual flaws and strengths?
Yuri would think her own flaw is that she's useless. She doesn't believe her abilities are all that useful, only bringing pain to herself and others. If asked directly, Yuri would probably, completely straight-faced, say her only strength is making coffee. She doesn't think she has many strengths at all, but could go on listing all of her flaws. If pressed she might say that her strength is loyalty.

In reality, Yuri's biggest flaw is her lack of self-esteem and self-assurance. Yuri's powers are not as strong as Miu, but she has the capacity to grow stronger. However, Yuri mostly sees her abilities as a burden she has to carry on with and not as a way to help others. She's introverted and rather passive, not interested in taking the lead on anything unless pushed. Her strength is loyalty, yes, but that she's stubborn when it comes to completing a goal and helping others. Yuri is just kind, and it's that kindness and ability to empathize and understand others that makes her so effective at understanding spirits' pain and helping them move on.

4. What is a common misconception other characters have about your character?
Other characters would most likely think of Yuri as someone fragile. Looking at her invokes a feeling like looking at glass that's already started to crack, and under the slightest bit of pressure she'll shatter. However, Yuri is so much stronger than people think and has seen/experienced many deaths and pains and still keeps trucking along.

Character Abilities: Sixth Sense/the ability to see and speak to spirits and sense their presence.

Kagemi: Shadow Reading. The ability to see the secrets of objects when handling them, and involves following the "shadows" of the past, of missing things or spirited away people. For example if someone was missing a ring, having the ring box means Yuri could track down and locate the ring. Having just a photo of a missing person or even just some of their writing enables Yuri to track that person down. Typically she can manage to track them far enough, but if they really don't want to be found then the trail might go cold eventually or get 'fuzzy,' leaving her unable to find the person. To quote one of the memos about it: "The traces will attract malevolent ghosts, so it is dangerous to spend too long gazing at them. Yet another risk lies in following the trace of a person who has already died or has been spirited away, as you may be inadvertently following them into the world of the dead."

She's also shown to be very capable using mitori or "Glancing"-- An ability that allows the user to see what people think, their memories, feelings and secrets, amongst other things. When Yuri touches a spirit, a dead body, or a person near-death, she can see a vision of their last moments and memories. She's also shown using a similar ability to see the memories and thoughts of people still alive, as indicated when she touches Miu and Ren and sees their dreams and memories then. It seems implied through that that sometimes touching a sleeping person will let her see their dreams.
