Backtagging: Yep! I will drop threads if they seem to be over, but if I don't respond back for a few days and you have ideas for the thread/want it to continue, just drop me a line and I'll be glad to pick it back up.

Offensive subjects: It's pretty hard to offend me. Don't purposefully be an asshole and we'll be fine.
For Kink Here is a kink list! This is NOT an IC kink list, this is what I as a player am or am not willing to play. Yuri herself will play whatever I can get her into if I can figure out a reason (and "fuck it I wanna play it so I will" is a good enough reason 90% of the time).

Hugging this character: You can try! She'll be startled, and might push your character away, but pls give this child hugs. She needs them.
Kissing this character: Again, you can try, but she'll definitely shove your character away if it comes without warning.
Flirting with this character: I encourage it, though Yuri will probably outright ignore these attempts... Good luck and godspeed.
Fighting with this character: Yuri will probably try to run before things get physical, but I don't foresee her getting into any physical confrontations with anyone anytime. She'll fight with her camera if it's a ghost and all, but a fist-fight? She'll probably be knocked flat in seconds.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Go for it tbh just message me so we can hash something out.
Killing this character: Again, just message me! Most likely I'll be okay with it.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: ONCE AGAIN just let me know! I'm okay with it, but drop me a line so I can tell you what your character might find/figure out/etc.

Fatal Frame V deals very very heavily with the themes of suicide. The entire canon revolves around a famous suicide spot, with shrine maidens whose job it was to witness suicides and help people be comfortable to kill themselves. Their spirits now haunt the place and force others to commit suicide against their will. Yuri herself has tried to commit suicide at least twice and witnessed the deaths of several spirits.
OBVIOUSLY I WILL NOT BE BRINGING THESE UP WITHOUT WARNING, at least in so much detail. But they are a big part of the canon, and I don't plan on ignoring it completely. If you're uncomfortable with ANY mentioning or hinting towards suicidal occurrences, please let me know to either tone it down (for example, I might have Yuri mention seeing a lot of deaths, but not mention that said deaths were suicides or something) or avoid it completely OR let me know to avoid tagging you completely! I don't wish to make anyone uncomfortable/triggered.
Ability Permissions
Kagemi: Shadow Reading. The ability to see the secrets of objects when handling them, and involves following the "shadows" of the past, of missing things or spirited away people. For example if someone was missing a ring, having the ring box means Yuri could track down and locate the ring. Having just a photo of a missing person enables Yuri to track that person down. Typically she can manage to track them far enough, but if they really don't want to be found then the trail might go cold eventually or get 'fuzzy,' leaving her unable to find the person. To quote one of the memos about it: The traces will attract malevolent ghosts, so it is dangerous to spend too long gazing at them. Yet another risk lies in following the trace of a person who has already died or has been spirited away, as you may be inadvertently following them into the world of the dead.
Mitori: Glancing (mitori) in Fatal Frame V is the ability to touch a spirit at the moment of defeat and witness a vision of its last moments. Yuri Kozukata, Miu Hinasaki and Ren Hojo all make use of this ability to learn more about Mount Hikami and the people who died there.
Historically, the ability was used by the Maidens of Black Water. When people came to the mountain seeking death, the maidens would witness their last moments and take on the burden of their sins and secrets. Those with the strongest power would be able to take in a person's memories simply by looking at them, and the maidens' penetrating gazes became an ominous theme in folklore about the mountain. Eventually, the shrine maiden's heart became too full to continue performing this duty, at which point she would be enclosed in a reliquary and submerged.
Essentially this means if Yuri touches someone, she has a chance of seeing their thoughts or memories, etc etc. Like reading their mind. She can also pick up on someone's emotions and a general idea of their thoughts!
I don't plan on using the more extreme versions of this (like memory/dream/secret seeing or essentially those mind-reading portions of it) too much, at least in the beginning of any CR, because Yuri tends to be careful about touching people and has a decent amount of control over it. However she may still pick up base emotions/feelings/thoughts on a touch
For the bigger things, unless you approach me about the possibility first (and I'm always up for traumatizing Yuri or making things awkward of the "oops I totally just saw that time you died or stabbed someone and boy does that look bad out of context!" variety), there's an event that might destabilizes Yuri's power, or something similar, I won't be making use of that part of her ability! That's stuff that has to be plotted out beforehand and I won't do it without permission.
So basically, please comment here if it is or is not okay for Yuri to pick up on your characters emotions or thoughts, and to what extent it is/isn't okay! It's perfectly possible to avoid it completely, so no worries there!
